This summer, we're thrilled to sponsor two key events dedicated to advancing accessibility in education. Each is a valuable stop on your accessibility road trip.
The first stop is the UnConference, which takes place on May 31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA . The UnConference throws out the traditional map and embraces a collaborative approach. "Mirroring the popular EdCamp style of professional development, an UnConference is a lightly organized, peer-led, participant-driven event in which attendees propose and facilitate sessions."
This in-person event fosters open discussions to generate creative solutions to accessibility. It is open to accessibility professionals from K-12, higher ed institutions, state agencies, and others interested in creating a more inclusive and accessible experience for all. Register now; registration ends on May 30.
Next, you’ll want to buckle up for the HighEdWeb Accessibility Summit, a one-day online event on July 30th. Whether you're a web developer, an accessibility champion, a beginner, or an expert, come and "expand your knowledge on a wide range of accessibility topics."
Learn from your colleagues in the field the technical and non-technical aspects of accessibility and connect with fellow accessibility enthusiasts from across the country.
Register now. Early bird registration ends June 30.
Like any well-planned summer road trip, the journey toward accessibility requires a commitment to learning, collaboration, and exploration.
So, let's hit the road!
