As most of us enter a workweek that does not look like ones we have previously encountered, most DubBot users I have been in contact with are currently grappling with balancing three priorities at the same time. In the last week, our users are incorporating a constantly evolving communication strategy around closures and new processes, attempting to continue on with previously set goals, and as if that isn’t enough, taking on some unexpected homeschooling/childcare duties.
First, with the constantly evolving communication strategy, we are building out custom checks to flag for the use of terms like Corona, Coronavirus, and COVID so that you can inventory pages on your site and ensure the message is appropriate based on your organization’s policies. We understand that content being output by representatives of your organization needs to be quality checked for content and accessibility so that all web visitors get the same message. If you are a current client who would like this added on your account, we invite you to contact us via our support chat or email.
Second, we are very fortunate to still be in the startup mode that puts an emphasis on flexibility.
Our staff started out as completely remote and although two years ago seems like a lifetime, we have that as our foundation for trust and communication while effectively fulfilling our responsibilities for DubBot and our clients.
We have therefore gone back to those very first days and are all remote again. As we have prided ourselves on being a true-family first company, we have quickly adapted flexible hours for everyone at DubBot. You work the hours that work for your family situation.
On the client-side of things, we are now offering support and client training outside of our normal business hours. This allows us to help our clients stay or adapt their courses to meet their previous and/or new goals.
For our users trying to grapple with child care and other family responsibilities, our new meeting time options include some evenings and weekends. Many of us at DubBot are parents with responsibilities outside of the office and we are also professional adults who have parents we worry about. We completely understand that our users, like us, may need to take turns with another family member to ensure that our child(ren) are fed and tended to during normal business hours without the option of school or daycare. This is for the greater good and we want you to know that we are in this with you.
We hope that you all stay safe and don’t forget, wash those hands for 20+ seconds!
